Nokia and Microsoft are improving Facebook integration on Windows Phone
Table of contents:
Unfortunately the integration we have in Facebook with Windows Phone is a bit weak, the chat sometimes has a problem and doesn't update well, and the dedicated application of the social network still has many things to improve. However, it seems that a user, a little tired of this problem, sent an email to Stephen Elop (apparently his email is public), commenting on the problems and so on, and the CEO of the Nokia company responded with:
"The response is not very expressive, but at least it is something like Stay calm, we are doing something. Maybe the next Windows Phone Blue update will bring better Facebook integration and an app with a major facelift."
An alternative to the official application
While large companies are in charge of working on this, maybe we can look for other alternatives This is where things get curious, because if we put Facebook on the Windows Phone Store search engine, we can see many versions of the application for the social network.
And if we go to the images, we will see that the applications are all very similar. I don't know if some kind of development package that has this version is going around on the internet, and that they later modify it.
Anyway, I'm going to comment on Blue Monster's Facebook+. Although it seems to be a copy of the others, it is quite functional and has some features. Although it does not follow the metro design strictly, it is much more complete.
Besides viewing the posts, the app lets you look at the pages, it shows the photos and profiles as it normally would on PC, you can view the posts, comment on them and share them. It has a menu on the left that has all the options for Messages, Events, Friends, pages, groups and even applications, it even has a search engine
It also has a chat, however it is not that good, it takes time to update and is slow to load. In this case, I think it's better to stick with the one that comes natively on Windows Phone.
The application is of course free, it is available for both Windows Phone 7 and Windows Phone 8. It will be at the discretion of each one if you use it instead of the official one or if you continue using it until Nokia and Microsoft fix it.
