What I expect from Windows Phone in 2013
I like Windows Phone, but I'm not a fanboy, the operating system has a lot of cloth to cut, both from Microsoft working in the how of the companies to make the terminals. But I am positive and I know that the operating system is going to take off, I don't know if to the point of being equated with Android or iOS, but enough to become known. Of course, there are things that I would like to see in the operating system for the year 2013 that would add value to it. Unfortunately I have not yet acquired a terminal with Windows Phone 8 (they have not yet arrived in the country), but of course I am going to get one, and over time I hope to see things like this.
More apps
Windows Phone doesn't have good apps You have to accept it. Due to its newness and the limited market it has, developers have been somewhat resistive when it comes to bringing their applications to this platform. Luckily Nokia has talked to some developers (and put money) to port their applications to Ballmer's operating system. It wasn't bad.
However, we're already on Windows Phone 8, testing is over and I think it's about time we looked at things interesting in the Fortunately, Microsoft always supports independent developers.
Best terminal distribution
I am Argentine, this year when they were showing the first Windows Phone 8 in August, in the country they were just putting the Nokia Lumia 710 and 900 on sale (and at high prices).I am also aware that in other Latin American countries terminals with this operating system take time to arrive
Of course, I understand that in the southern part of America there is a somewhat small market for smartphones, but in terminals with a little-known operating system, however, I would like for 2013 companies to carry out a better marketing campaign and bring these terminals in better time so we can all enjoy them.
Nokia luckily they have done a good job in this regard, at least in my country, there is daily on television and on public roads.
More aggressive terminals
No 8-core processors or 4GB RAM, what I look for in the next terminals with Windows Phone for 2013 is that they bring changes in the design and in its utilities.HTC and Nokia have taken the first step in this and have undoubtedly made it stand out quite a lot in the media. Bold colors, bold designs, extra features Real smartphones.
While power is an important factor, I would hate to see the Windows Phone market be like Android where the which has more power is the better. Fortunately, and thanks to China, this is changing, as companies in that country seek to innovate in each terminal they launch.
Let Samsung activate with Windows Phone
Respect to Samsung, the company has earned a much more than deserved place in the market (leaving aside issues of copies to iPhone and so on, which is a separate and highly controversial issue). And as I mentioned in an article a few days ago, Samsung has taken a more passive approach with Windows Phone.
Personally, I think that Samsung would be a very powerful ally for Windows Phone, with the company's worldwide distribution, it would undoubtedly bring the operating system to many countries. Also, if it is encouraged to invest in the development of its terminals, we could see much more interesting things. And for that reason, I would like the company to take the operating system seriously in 2013
And you, What do you expect from Windows Phone in 2013?
