Table of contents:
The Surface Book 3, or rather, the possible Surface Book 3, has been in the news since the beginning of the year. It is no secret at this point that Microsoft would be preparing to launch a new generation of Surface Book updating its components with the latest hardware to compete equally conditions with other market proposals.
An upgraded Surface Book 3 with modern CPUs, more powerful GPUs, more RAM, and more storage options, with a spring release aiming to even accompany a likely Surface Go 2.So now might be a good time to review everything we know about this possible Surface Book 3
This is what we expect
It has been a while since it was updated, well, not in vain, the Surface Book was updated for the last time in 2017 (here you have the analysis of the Surface Book 2). It has rained since then and a change and an update are necessary to continue in the gap. A change especially on the inside, since Microsoft apparently would be continuity in the external design, with the same screen sizes and bezels.
Inside, everything points to the new 10th generation Intel Core i5 and i7 Ice Lake-U processors. Intel SoC that would arrive in combination with Nvidia's GTX 16 series GPUs. In fact, the leaks revealed a device equipped with an Intel Core i7-1065G7 SoC and an NVIDIA Max-Q GPU that could be accompanied by 32 GB of RAM and a 2 TB SSD in the most powerful model.

A Surface Book 3 that would arrive in two screen sizes, with 13 options.5 inches, hiding an integrated graphics card or the option to choose an NVIDIA GTX 1650 Max-Q. In the case of the other larger screen, 15 inches, it would be a team aimed at professionals, as it has an Nvidia Quadro GPU or, failing that, with an NVIDIA GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q.
The screen, in two sizes, would vary in resolution but would maintain the 3:2 aspect ratio In the most compact model, the resolution would be 3,000 x 2,000 pixels with 267 ppi, figures that would reach 3,240 x 2,160 pixels with 260 ppi on the 15-inch screen.
Regarding storage capacities, we will see the classic sizes in 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB, capacities at which that an extra option would be added in the most powerful model, the 15-inch screen that would add 2 TB of storage to the NVIDIA Quadro GPU. And along with these values, RAM memory that goes from 8 GB in the basic model to 16 GB of RAM for the highest levels, being the top, the 32 GB of RAM of the model mentioned above.
Y to finalize the operating system of the Surface Book 3. With Windows 10 Home out of the box, you could choose Windows 10 Pro as extra option for those looking for more capacities.
We are in the absence of a presentation, which could take place in spring, to confirm all the details and above all to know the prices of these models, prices that have already been speculated, they could start as low as $1,500 for the cheapest model.
