A while ago we talked about the Computex 2018 fair in relation to what may be the next launch of Samsung with a Snapdragon 850 processor inside. There is no more information about it, contrary to the news that features the ASUS brand, which has announced a new model of its ZenBook Pro range

The ASUS ZenBook Pro 15 UX580GE stands out above all for having an interactive screen technology that they have come to call ScreenPad. It is a screen that is located in the space that comes to occupy the traditional trackpad and with which they seek to increase the usability of the device.

A second screen on the trackpad

This is a kind of twist on what Apple has already achieved with the MacBook Pro Retina and its Touch Bar, a powerful team although the new screen (instead of the classic keypad) did not offer too many incentives for its use.

In this case it is a 5.5-inch Super IPS+ panel in which Full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080) is achieved pixels). It allows its use as a touch screen to use in which we also have multi-touch capability. And for the careless ones thinking about wear and tear, Asus has protected it and made it resistant to fingerprints and smudges.

We can use intelligent gestures of up to four fingers as if it were a trackpad, but we can also turn the ScreenPad into an interactive screen that can be transformed to access different functions.

Even we can have a second screen thanks to the Screen Extender function, with which we can turn the ScreenPad into what would be similar to a second monitor but in miniature.

Regarding other specifications, the new ZenBook Pro includes 8th generation Intel Core i9 processors supported by 16 GB of memory RAM, GeForce GTX1050 Ti graphics with 4GB memory, storage via 1TB SSD.

The 15-inch display is based on a NanoEdge panel and manages to deliver 4K UHD resolution while also being compatible with the new ASUS Pen , which allows working at angles of up to 45 degrees with different levels of pressure.

As for the sound, it includes a speaker system signed by Harman Kardon which have ASUS SonicMaster audio technology.Autonomy, according to ASUS, stands at 9.5 hours of duration thanks to its 71Wh battery. If necessary, we can charge 60% of the battery in 50 minutes thanks to the Fast Charging charging system.

Regarding the price of this equipment and when it will be available on the market, for now there is no news about it.
