The HP Specter x360 is updated with an improved version to stand up to the competition
CES 2017 is being quite prolific in terms of launches within the computer market with almost all the major manufacturers offering new proposals with the than trying to conquer a part of a market that increasingly offers more and better options.
No more thinking that to opt for a PC over a Mac we had to have a rough and poorly finished product and a good example has been given by HP with its recent launches, perhaps the highlight of the sector with permission from Microsoft and its latest proposals. And in this sense, it becomes more important than ever to stay in the gap, something that HP has proposed by updating the 15.6-inch HP Specter x360.
The American firm has updated one of its best laptops with improvements to the screen, now with higher resolution and now providing it with support for Windows Hello among other improvements.
The new HP now opts for the inclusion of a new generation processor Intel Kaby Lake Core i7-7500U at 2.7GHz, supported by 16GB of DDR4 RAM. For storage, it has the increasingly common SSD drives in which it offers capacities of 256GB or 512GB.
The screen now improves the resolution and although it is still an IPS panel now reaches up to 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) with a 15.6-inch diagonal that is accentuated by greatly reduced bezels. In addition, the new HP Specter x360 has support for the use of stylus and in terms of security offers compatibility with Windows Hello.
Other sections to highlight are the battery, of which the manufacturer ensures that allows up to 12 hours of duration without having to go through the recharging process, a figure that must be tested later to find out if it is true or not.
The rest of the specifications are completed by an HDMI port, an SD card reader (something that some manufacturers take pains to eliminate), a Thunderbolt 3 port, a USB port Type-C and one USB Type-A input.
