Today has been a day of presentations for Acer, and among all the devices that have been shown at their event in New York, the new Aspire R11 has stood out for its enormous versatility, which with an 11.6-inch screen makes it the smallest of the growing family of Taiwanese convertible laptops.

Thanks to hinges that allow the keyboard to rotate 360 degrees, in addition to that of a competent laptop with specific measurements, these devices can also perform functions of monitor, wedge-shaped computer and tablet, the latter being the function that is most enhanced by the 11-inch screen.

Tight specifications for a versatile team

This device integrates the Intel Pentium Celeron processors of the Braswell series, and we can equip them with up to 8 GB of DDR3L RAM, hard drives with between 500 MB and 1 TB of internal storage and a TrueHarmony sound system with which they ensure that we will not miss external speakers.

The display is 11.6 inches with a resolution of 1366x768 pixels, and will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass technology. Its hinge has a dual rotation design that will help it open easily, while also applying an additional load to stabilize the device and reduce wobble when touching your touch screen.

In addition, the computer also features a 720p Acer Crystal Eye HD webcam, and integrates an SD card slot, two USB 2.0 or USB 3.0, and full-size VGA and HDMI connections. Naturally, at this time of the year, Acer will also include free updates to Windows 10.

Good technology at a reasonable price

This new 1.58 kg laptop also debuts a new trackpad and a Zero Air Gap display that reduces reflections and improves readability. In addition, it also incorporates Acer's BluelightShield technology, which offers four modes that reduce the blue light emission from the screen to reduce eyestrain when viewed we use.

But it is useless to present a device designed to cover the widest possible range of functions with its versatility if it is then marketed at an exaggerated price and beyond the reach of the majority. This is something that Acer has known for a long time, which is why its Ascend R11 will arrive in Spain from the month of June for a price of 349 euros
