Lenovo yesterday announced the refresh of its Flex family of laptops with convertible aspirations. Two are the Lenovo Flex 2 models, with sizes of 14 and 15.6 inches, which improve on their predecessors with better screens and the option of dedicated graphics card .
More polished design and improvements in specifications and performance are Lenovo's proposal for its renewed range of laptops capable of being used in the traditional format or in a 'stand' mode with a reclining screen. Adjusted prices complete the offer of equipment that hides more than it appears among its configuration options.
Lenovo Flex 2 14-inch and 15.6-inch
Lenovo Flex 2 features two models of 14 and 15.6-inch screens. These have been considerably improved compared to their predecessors and now we can opt for Full HD panels of up to 1920x1080 pixel resolution.
Of course, with the previous generation they share multi-touch screens capable of recognizing up to 10 pressure points at the same time. An ideal solution considering that the computers come with Windows 8.1 installed.
Improving specifications and performance
The specification is another section reviewed by Lenovo. As for the processor, we can choose up to fourth-generation Intel Core i7 processors and the possibility of including an NVIDIA GeForce graphics card.In the 15-inch model it will also be possible to choose from the AMD range with A8 processors and AMD Radeon R5 M230 graphics card.
The internal storage will allow up to 1 TB with a traditional hard drive and 256 GB if we choose to choose SSD storage. Lenovo hasn't finished specifying the RAM, but expect the ability to opt for up to 8GB as in its predecessors.
'Stand' mode and multimedia character
The Lenovo Flex 2 works like a traditional laptop but also allows you to recline your screen further than usual, up to 300 degrees. In this way we can use them in a 'stand' mode recommended for the consumption of multimedia content.
To help us with this, the equipment will also come equipped with Dolby Advanced Audio v2 sound technology. They include a front-facing webcam capable of recording at 720p and the option to place two microphone arrays to enhance video calls from the device.
