Lenovo did not want to be left out of the IFA 2014 launches either, launching today 3 interesting proposals from computers with Windows 8.1, some of them being very innovative, in addition to standing out for focusing on the high-end of the PC world, which has been somewhat left aside with the avalanche of computers and tablets cheap ones that compete with Chromebooks and Android tablets. Let's see the detail of each of these PCs.

Edge 15, a 15-inch convertible notebook with touchscreen

"

We start with the least atypical proposal of all, the renovation of the Lenovo Edge 15 (that we see in the image above), a 15-inch and 2.26 kilograms notebook that in this delivery stands out for its multi-touch IPS screen with Full HD resolution, and its convertible design that allows us to use it two ways: as a classic laptop and in stand mode, with the screen pointing in the opposite direction of the keyboard."

The Edge 15 features fourth-generation Intel Core processors, allowing you to choose between i5 or i7 configurations. It also comes with 8GB of RAM, and two graphics cards: a dedicated 4GB nVidia GeForce GT840M and an integrated Intel HD Graphics card.

In terms of storage, we have 1TB of space, being able to choose between a typical HDD disk, or a hybrid SSHD that will increase the price.

The Lenovo Edge 15 should see the light of day next month of October at a price of 899 dollars for the basic configuration, still available in US stores like Best Buy. There is still no information about its arrival in other countries.

ThinkCentre Tiny-in-One 23, a practical modular All-in-One

And from a classic PC, we move on to the most innovative proposal that Lenovo offers at this fair. This is the ThinkCentre Tiny-in-One 23, a 23-inch 1080p display that doubles as a dock for Small PCs from Lenovo, the ThinkCentre Tiny PCs. We simply dock the Tiny PC to the back of the screen and voilĂ , we have an All-In-One.

The screen will cost 279 dollars in the United States, to which we must add the cost of the Tiny PC, if we want to have the Complete All-in-One. For now there is no information on availability and prices in other countries.

ThinkPad Helix, Lenovo's convertible is updated

Lenovo's Helixconvertible ultrabook first saw the light of day at CES 2013, receiving its first update today at IFA important, reducing its weight to 816 grams and its thickness to 0.97 centimetersLenovo claims that the hinge and the ability to unpin the display allow the Helix to be used in 5 different modes:

  • Tablet
  • Stand: with the screen pointing away from the keyboard
  • Tent: with the screen extended more than 180 degrees, and supported by the free ends
  • Notebook
  • Desktop: connected to an external monitor (which is not very funny since it's something you can do with any laptop)

The novelties of this update focus on an update of the processors, and an increase in battery life, reaching 12 hours on the Pro Keyboard dock (vs. 10 hours before). The tablet on its own also improves in this section, increasing its autonomy from 5 to 8 hours

Other interesting additions are the inclusion of a stylus, a fingerprint reader, and a Smart Card reader Your price It would go up to $999 in the United States, and as with the other teams, we don't know its price or availability in other territories.
