Table of contents:
MSI, has launched a new laptop for those who like to enjoy games without performance concerns, it incorporates latest generation AMD processors as well as a powerful GPU.
Its name is MSI GX60, it comes to the lines of laptops specially designed for gamers, of course, and not only fans, but that some other hardcore will feel attracted to her.
MSI GX60, external hardware
This laptop has a size of 15.6 inches, this size together with its internal hardware does not give us a little thickness, but rather On the contrary, we see 55mm in its rear part, which rises a little more thanks to its small protrusions to leave the ventilation ducts free.
When we open the laptop we see that its screen is anti-reflective with a resolution of 1080p (1920 × 1080), just below this we can see both its power button, some functions and of course its touchpad and keyboard.
The keyboard is from the line Steel Series for which it has been redesigned especially for gamers by increasing the size of the 'Ctrl' key and moving the 'Windows' key to the left, as well as improving resistance and increasing response sensitivity.
Hence reviewing its ports we find three USB 3.0, VGA, HDMI and Mini-DisplayPort, as well as its classic audio outputs and inputs.
Power sponsored by AMD
Now if leaving aside the external, inside we find a hardware that is fully sponsored by AMD, both in processor and in graphics.
In details, its processor is a AMD Quad Core A10 4600m with a speed of 2.3GHz per core, hence its graph is an AMD Radeon HD 7970M which has 2GB dedicated memory with full DirectX 11 game support.
Its RAM memory that works at 1600 MHz and is of the DDR3 type can reach up to 16GB, on the other hand its storage can be configured with solid state drives and traditional hard drives.
Speaking of the laptop's power, its GPU along with its three VGA ports, HDMI and Mini-DisplayPort can bring life and movement to three simultaneous monitors with resolutions up to 1080p,which together give resolutions of 5760 x 1080 or 1920 x 3240, made possible by AMD's Eyefinity technology.
The operating system that has been implemented yet is Windows 7, as the compatibility of games with the new Windows 8, but that's not why the doors will be closed to those who want to update since the update to the eighth version is compatible once in the market.
MSI GX60, availability and price
For now we do not know the price or the official release date of the MSI GX60, but for what it offers we can position the laptop in those with high price. And even more so to say that not only gamers will be interested in it, but that some dedicated to the intensive use of 3D could see it as a useful option.
