PGS dares with Windows 10 and Android 6.0 so you can take your games anywhere
Table of contents:
Who said that the handheld console market was dead and had been cannibalized by mobile phones? That is certainly something that PGS LAB should not agree with, those responsible for a Kickstarter campaign to launch a most curious portable console.
And we say that it is curious because PGS (Portable Game System), which is what the device is called, has Windows 10 and Android 6.0 Marshmallowas operating systems (dualboot) so that you can run PC games and at the same time allow the use of Android applications.
The PGS is expected to come out in March 2017, needing a base of $100,000 to make it a reality, nothing unreasonable , since they are already close to doubling that number. Also, if they reach $350,000, they will create a model with a secondary electronic ink screen, which will consume much less, and they even talk about creating a model with telephone capabilities. We will have to see it.
Two models with common characteristics and differences
The console comes in two models, PGS Hardcore and PGS Lite, in which there are differences as in the case of the screen; In its powerful version it has a 5.7-inch screen and QHD resolution while in the simple version we have a 5.5-inch screen and 720p resolution. Both have a secondary 4.5-inch screen.
To many it may be reminiscent of the Nintendo DS, mainly due to its dual screen configuration. The internal hardware is common to both and is a quad-core Intel Atom X7 (Z8750) running at 2.56GHz.
The difference is given in RAM and storage, 8GB of RAM and 128GB in SSD format in the Hardcore model, while on the Lite, those amounts are cut in half. We have other important differences in the cameras and batteries: 6,120mAh, 8 and 5 megapixels in the powerful model, and 4,080mah with 5/1 megapixels in the Lite. These are the specifications:

The key is the games
"And since it&39;s a console, it&39;s time to talk about games and to ensure the potential of their machines, its creators say that the prototypes have no problem run known gameslike “Batman: Arkham City”, “Dark Souls 2”, “DmC: Devil May Cry”, “Mirror&39;s Edge”, or “Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance”. Of course, if you are looking for current demanding games you should lower the graphic quality somewhat."
Price and availability
According to their developers, both models should hit the market in March 2017 at a price that starts at 230 euros for the PGS Liteat 280 euros for the PGS Hardcore, although for now this version is out of stock.
