Asus launches new Transformer convertibles with Windows 10 and next-generation processors
Table of contents:
The manufacturer Asus has just announced an interesting renewal of its line Transformerof convertible PCs, thus launching new computers with Windows 10 pre-installed, and also including the latest Intel Atom Cherry Trail processors. Let&39;s review what other innovations and specifications these hybrid PCs offer us."
Starting with the Transformer Book T100HA (pictured above), a tablet with a dockable keyboard that uses a 2 Atom x5 Z8500 processor.2 Ghz (similar to what the supposed HP Envy 8 Note would incorporate, and slightly less than the x7 of the Surface 3).
It also stands out for including a stereo microphone specially designed for Cortana, and long-lasting battery, up to 12 hours, with charging support fast (charges 80% in 2 hours). The rest of its specifications are as follows:
- 10.1-inch screen with 1280x800 resolution (IPS panel)
- 4 GB RAM
- 64 GB internal memory eMMC, expandable via microSD
- WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n
- Bluetooth 4.0
- Two microUSB and microHDMI ports
- 3.5mm headphone/microphone slot
- 1 USB-C port
- 1 USB 2.0 port available when keyboard is connected (the rest are included in the display)
- 2-megapixel front camera and 5-megapixel rear camera
- Weight of tablet alone: 580 grams
- Weight of keyboard dock: 471 grams (1.05 kg total)
As we can see, the weakest point seems to be the resolution of the screen, lower even than that of many 8-inch tablets, but with a larger screen size, which translates into a very low pixel density. However, this is compensated with a good supply of RAM memory, and the interesting inclusion of a USB-C port, something unusual in low-priced equipment.

The other PC Asus is announcing is the Transformer Book Flip TP200SA, a convertible whose keyboard cannot be detached, but which The change allows rotate the screen 360°, like the Lenovo Yoga.
Another difference between this equipment and the previous one is that it does not use an Intel Atom processor, but a 2.16 Ghz Intel Celeron Braswell N3050 . In addition, the duration of its battery is a little lower, only >"
These are its other specifications:
- 11.6-inch display with 1366x768 resolution (IPS panel)
- 4 GB RAM
- 64 GB internal memory eMMC, expandable via microSD
- WiFi 802.11a/c
- Bluetooth 4.1
- Two microUSB and microHDMI ports
- 3.5mm headphone/microphone slot
- 1 USB-C port
- 1 USB 2.0 port and 1 USB 3 port.OR
- VGA Front Camera
- Weight: 1.2kg
