Surface PRO 3 processors exposed
Table of contents:
Microsoft has released a few hours ago the information related to the microprocessor models that will be able to be chosen to move the heart of the Surface PRO 3.
They are all CPUs from the Intel company, being able to use the Core i3, i5 and i7, covering the entire range of computing power of the family, and breaking with the limitation of earlier versions of the Surface that only supported the i5.
Hashwell to Intel Core
The Hashwell architecture was first shown in 2011 and made available to manufacturers on Intel processors in June 2013 , with the purpose of replacing the previous architecture - Ivy Bridge - gaining in power, versatility and low consumption.
From among the three large families – desktop, server and mobile – it has chosen the processors with the least consumption and temperature to be integrated into the new tablet.

I also have to point out that Hashwell is an evolution of the 22nm technology built in Ivy Bridge, and that the real revolution will be in late 2014 or early 2015with the 14nm Brodwell/Rockwell architecture that promises more power with much less consumption.
