Lenovo introduced the Miix range early last summer. To it was added in October the Lenovo Miix 2, an 8-inch tablet with Windows 8.1 inside. Now, with the arrival of CES in Las Vegas, the Chinese company has taken the opportunity to renew its range in larger screen sizes with the new 10 and 11-inch Lenovo Miix 2

The Lenovo Miix 2 are tablets that have the possibility of connecting to a keyboard base through a magnetic system. With more serious and rectangular lines than their predecessors, the new computers also update specifications to catch up with other computers with Windows 8.1 on the market.

Lenovo Miix 2, with 10 and 11-inch screens

Lenovo has taken advantage of the differences in size to introduce two versions with different specifications for its Miix 2 tablets. Both share the same IPS screen with 1920x1200 pixel resolutionand touch recognition of up to 10 points. The difference is in the size, with 10.1 and 11.6 inches each model.

The 10-inch Lenovo Miix 2 is a more mobile-focused device. It weighs 590 grams and measures 9.1 millimeters thick. Inside we find a quad-core Intel Atom processor with 2 GB of RAM. We can opt for up to 128 GB of storage, and options include support for 3G/LTE connectivity.

In the case of the 11, 6-inch Lenovo Miix 2 we have more power in a slightly larger and heavier body. This is due not only to its larger screen, but also to the presence of an Intel Core i5 processor and the possibility of opting for up to 8 GB of RAM. The largest of the Miix 2 also includes more internal storage options, with up to 256 GB. Of course we will also have versions with 3G/LTE.

The keyboard as an unavoidable accessory

Lenovo Miix 2 tablets are intended to be used in conjunction with accessory keyboards, to which they attach via a similar magnetic connection to the one you use Surface with yours. By connecting them we can use them either as if it were a laptop, or in a stand mode to enjoy our multimedia content.

To enhance this player function, the keyboards incorporate a JBL speaker bar which is intended to provide better sound quality. The keyboards also add two additional USB ports in addition to the micro USB port on the 10-inch tablet and USB 3.0 on the 11-inch model. The latter also serves as a loading path for the equipment.

Otherwise, both models include a mini HDMI port and an SD and microSD card reader. They also incorporate separate rear and front cameras of 5 and 2 megapixels respectively. And from Lenovo they ensure that its battery can provide up to 8 hours of autonomy
