Accessories for the new Surface 2: keyboards and much more

Microsoft just announced new tablet models, the second generation of Microsoft Surface . They are two models that improve in characteristics to both predecessors. We are talking about Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2.

When the new tablets arrive, we also find new accessories among which the Touch Cover 2, cases stand out Type Cover 2 and Power Cover, all with keyboard. A Docking station for the Pro models, a car charger and an interesting wireless adapter for the keyboards, among others.

Keyboard Skins

TouchCover 2

It comes with a backlighting system on keys, it is thinner and lighter than its predecessor. TouchCover 2's design is liquid-proof and comes in black, purple, cyan, and red. It integrates more sensors than the previous version so keystrokes become more precise.

Compatibility: Surface, Surface 2, Surface Pro, and Surface Pro 2. Price : 119.90 euros.

TypeCover 2

This is the case with rigid keys, it comes in different colors and also with backlighting. Within this family there is a model that integrates an additional battery inside and is known as PowerCover.

Compatibility: Surface RT, Surface 2, Surface Pro, and Surface Pro 2. PowerCover model sidesteps original Surface RT model . Price. 129.99 euros (PowerCover will not arrive until 2014, price yet to be confirmed)

Wireless Keyboard Adapter

This curious accessory allows a wireless connection with the tablet, that is, you can have the keyboard completely separated from the Surface and still recognize the keystrokes. It works via Bluetooth, reaches 10 meters, and is recharged with a microUSB cable.

Compatibility: All first and second generation Surface family including Pro models.

Docking Station

This accessory allows you to provide great connectivity to tablets by adding 3 USB 2.0 ports and one 3.0, ethernet network and HDMI video output.

Compatibility: Surface Pro and Pro 2. Price: 199.99 euros.

Car charger

A charger has arrived for Surface tablets to be powered via the car cigarette lighter connector, offering an additional USB connector to charge another device.

Compatibility: Surface RT, Surface Pro, Surface 2, and Surface Pro 2. Price:49, 99 euros.
