HP Split x2
Table of contents:
HP has made official another commitment to Windows 8 in a powerful convertible hybrid, its name HP Split x2. The device has been inheriting the idea of performing tablet and laptop functions but now with a larger diagonal and state-of-the-art hardware.
Its design does not differ much from the Envy x2, a large frame around its screen, physical buttons behind it, and its connections on its bottom side through which we added the keyboard base.
Technical characteristics
Its dimensions are 339.8 x 229.8 x 22 millimeters, where the thickness is already including the base, its total weight is 1.9 kilograms, the highest if we compare it with that of its brothers.
About your hardware we can say that there are several configurations, to which we can mount a processor (Ivy Bridge) Intel Core i3 or i5 with Intel HD 4000 GPU, up to eight gigabytes of DDR3 RAM and 128GB storage.
Its screen is one of the largest compared to other devices, in detail we have a diagonal of thirteen inches with a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels on a panel of type IPS, this of course when carrying Windows 8 is tactile and with recognition of several points.
Of course, if you want to go one step further in productivity, you can mount your base with a keyboard that, in addition to having a full keyboard and a multi-touch trackpad, gives you an extra battery as well as an additional hard drive of up to 500GB,something really useful considering the limited space that only the tablet offers.
It also has an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p recording capacity plus a front camera to fulfill its role in video calls, WiFi, Bluetooth, and USB 2.0/3.0 ports, HDMI, and a slot for both microSD and SD cards, some of which are included in the base.
HP Split x2, price and availability
The HP Split x2 will go on sale in August at an initial configuration price of $799, per Right now we don't know anything about the markets where it will be available but we will be waiting for any additional announcements.
