Microsoft rushes security updates for Windows 10 Mobile and releases a Build less than half a year after his death
We are in the middle of the week and we are going to talk about an update but to everyone's surprise it has nothing to do with Windows 10 for desktops. The Build launched by Microsoft arrives to satisfy the owners of a phone under Windows 10 Mobile, something really striking, since it is a platform that is mortally wounded.
And it is sure that there are few who still make use of a platform terminal, but there is still a small niche of potential users with terminals still working.Customers who once believed in the platform and who are now left in the lurch.
The new Microsoft compilation comes to cover the security needs of terminals that still work under Windows 10 Mobile and comes including a series of corrections to improve security in the operating system of these phones.
This is a new Build that has the number 15254.575. This can be installed offering a series of corrections and improvements in the operation that we now list:
- Fixes an issue that may cause BitLocker to enter recovery mode if BitLocker is provisioned at the same time updates are installed.
- Added security updates for Windows Wireless Networking, Windows Server, Microsoft Scripting Engine, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Microsoft Graphics Component, Internet Explorer, Windows Input and Composition, Windows Virtualization, Windows App Platform and Frameworks , Windows Fundamentals, Windows Kernel, Microsoft Edge, and Windows Cryptography.
If you use a terminal that is running on Windows 10 Mobile, the update is interesting because of the extra security it provides. To download and install it, just go to the path Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update to search for the new Build."
Microsoft continues in this way, offering a minimum required while the support for the platform lasts, which we remember, has the hours counted. There is less than a year left for the last version released by Microsoft for its mobile platform to stop receiving support. It will be on December 10, 2019.
