The news is confirmed and we already know which phones will not receive Windows 10 Creators Update
A few days ago a rumor began to circulate that we echoed that was referring to Windows 10 Creators Update, specifically speaking of what at that time were the alleged phones that would receive their corresponding spring update.
An update that we remember, will begin on April 25 (on PC it began on the 11th) and apparently it was not going to reach models that we thought would receive this latest _update_. A supposed list that was not liked, especially by the owners of one of the excluded models, although at that time it was only a rumor... until today.
And we already have an official statement from Microsoft. We now reliably know which _smartphones_ are going to receive the Creators Update and which ones will be left out. And surely it is not a list that we can say likes a good number of users. This is the list (it has been exactly the same as the filtered one) of the phones that will receive the Creators Update:
- HP Elite x3
- Microsoft Lumia 550
- Microsoft Lumia 640/640XL
- Microsoft Lumia 650
- Microsoft Lumia 950/950 XL
- Alcatel IDOL 4S
- Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL
- SoftBank 503LV
- VAIO Phone Biz
- Mouse Computer MADOSMA Q601
- Trinity NuAns NEO
Some absences are unexplained
There are some that were clearly going to be there, in the case of the HP Elite x3 or the Alcatel Idol 4S, but the absence of a few models is surprising , some even very recent and a great alternative within the Windows Phone scene such as the Acer Liquid Jade Primo. An absentee who will be accompanied on the trip to limbo by other models such as a large part of the Lumia range, among which the Lumia 735, 830, 930 and 1520 stand out. And this is the statement issued by Microsoft in this regard:
From Redmond they assure that Creators Update does not perform well on older models as a reason to use for not updating certain mobile phones but without However, the doubt remains in the air. _Is for example the Acer Liquid an old terminal that does not work well with this update? Could it be that Creators Update is not well polished for mobile terminals?_
This decision by Microsoft is sure to bring controversy and that is if they add the cessation of support for recent models to the scarce catalog they have... a bad combination that surely does not make them win sales _What do you think of this list?_
