Xbox Console Streaming reaches new countries and among them Spain: if you are an insider

A few hours ago we read new news about Google Stadia, one of the proposals that in 2020 will be the protagonists when we have to talk about streaming games. It is one of them, but not the only one, since Microsoft has a lot to say with Project xCloud.

But while we wait for the arrival of Project xCloud, news comes from one of the visible heads of Xbox. This is Xbox Larry Hryb (Microsoft Xbox Live Programming Director), also known as Major Nelson, in charge of announcing through his Twitter account that Xbox Console Streaming arrives with the 2020 premiere in more markets.

Until recently, Xbox Console Streaming was present in the United States and the United Kingdom. The service, which unlike Project xCloud or Stadia, where games run on servers far from home, uses the Xbox as an engine to move a game that it then sends locally to our mobileImportant functionality but a very limited market…until now.

And now we know that Xbox Console Streaming, which arrived in the United States in October 2019, South Korea and the United Kingdom, arrives in 2020 in all countries where you can use the Xbox One and among them is Spain.

Requirements to use Xbox Console Streaming

The functionality, whose test can be requested from this link, allows us to play the games we have on the Xbox One on our Android phone or tablet, both physical and downloaded and installed, including titles from Xbox Game Pass.A streaming from the console to the mobile for which, yes, we must meet some requirements:

• Be an Xbox Insider Program member in a supported region.
• Have an Xbox One console enrolled in an Xbox One Update Preview ring to participate in the preview.
• Use a phone or tablet running Android 6.0 or higher and with Bluetooth 4.0.
• Have an Xbox One wireless controller with Bluetooth.
• Have high-speed Internet access (at least 4.75 Mbps required, 9 Mbps preferred).
• NAT type: open or moderated.
• Network latency: 125ms or less required, 60ms or less preferred.
• Download the Xbox Game Streaming (Preview) app from the Google Play Store.

If you are interested and meet the above requirements, you can download the Xbox Game Streaming (Preview) app from the Google Play Store and then sign up for the Xbox Insiders Program Preview Ring. Once the process is complete, all that remains is to choose the title of our Xbox that we want to use from the smartphone or tablet.
