Users within the Alpha Ring on Xbox One are about to try out the new features of Redstone 5

We have seen how little by little Redstone 5 is spreading its tentacles through the Microsoft ecosystem thanks to the different Builds that are launched by the company. The PC has been the main recipient of these improvements and the last Build in this regard is very recent.

The Xbox, strikingly, was left out of this possibility, at least until not long ago it was announced that insiders of the Microsoft console could also access the Skip Ahead ring in the Insider Program, similar to what Windows users enjoy.And in a few hours the latest Redstone 5-flavored build will be available for download on Xbox One."

Less differences between PC and console

This is Build 1810, which will be available to Preview Alpha members, who until now were using build 1806. Redstone 5 thus comes to replace Redstone 4 in the console Microsoft and blur the boundaries between PC and console a bit more

In the release they announce that Build 1810 contains many of the features already offered in 1806 We will therefore see FastStart for improve usage times in some titles or the arrival of the new Avatar Editor. Here's what's coming with this build:

Corrections:

• In Groups, they can now be renamed without the need to reboot.
• In My games & apps the FastStart function is improved.
• Narrator has improved usability in some languages.
• System performance has been improved.

Known Issues:

• Skip Ahead users will notice that the Entertainment tab has been replaced on the screen with Game Pass content. This new tab allows easy access to the Game Pass catalog and is only available in the US. In all other countries, you will still see the Entertainment tab.

• Problems with groupsmay occur if you frequently switch between the console in Preview mode and normal mode. There is a workaround: Reset groups locally on the preview console via My Games & Apps > Groups, then use the Delete All Groups button at the bottom of the page to resync from the service."
• Sometimes users may encounter an incorrect profile color when turning on the console.
• When the console wakes up from Instant-on / Connect-Standby with a wired connection, the console may not recognize the Ethernet cableis plugged in. The solution is to restart the console using the path Guide -> Restart.
