Xbox Insider Program users in the Skip Ahead ring start receiving the latest update on Xbox One
Table of contents:
A few days ago we saw some of the news that were about to arrive on Xbox One, at least for those who are signed up to the Xbox Insider program in the Skip Ahead ring. Later they will reach other users and for now we will have to settle for seeing them from a distance.
Of all the improvements that will soon arrive on the Xbox One, one of those that Xbox One insiders can already try, at least one of the most visual, is the one that refers to the new avatars. An improvement already being rolled out for Xbox Insiders in the Skip Ahead ring with version 1810.
Aesthetic and functional improvements
These renewed avatars begin to appear on the _dashboards_ of some users, some avatars that allow you to further customize the appearance with a greater range of accessories to choose from along with renewed animations. It is the most important feature, but not the only one.
Support for video under Dolby Vision is here on both Xbox One S and Xbox One X and now users of one of these machines will be able to improve image quality thanks to the use of HDR. It will be necessary, of course, to have available content on the one hand (an example can be Netflix) and on the other with a television compatible with Dolby Vision.
The Narrator feature on Xbox One has been improved, now supporting five additional languages, including Spanish, Portuguese , Polish, Swedish, Dutch and an Australian version of the English language. Here are the steps to activate Narrator:
- On your Xbox One controller, press and hold the Xbox button until it vibrates, then press the Menu button.
- Press the Xbox button to open the guide, and then select System > Settings > Accessibility > Narrator to turn it on or off.
- If you're using a keyboard, press the Windows logo key + Ctrl + Enter.
- To use voice commands, say ?Hey Cortana, turn on Narrator? or ?Xbox, turn on Narrator?.
Search has been improved, which will now show the games we have on the console, whether they are the ones we have installed or the ones we we can access if we are subscribed to services such as Game Pass or EA Access.
In closing, some members of the Xbox Insiders program may have access to a number of experimental features in addition to those listed above. In this way, some users will be able to share specific statistics of a game with their contacts directly on their home page or access to improvements within the clubs.
