We know that the next Xbox for a few years will already be ready for launch, and it is more than clear that we will see renewals not only in the hardware of this, but also in the technologies that it could offer.

And now we have a new hint about some new technology that could be coming along with the launch of what we'll call for now Xbox 720, This track comes from a patent filed by Microsoft in which mention is made of a complete multimedia system of cameras, sensors and projectors that will lead us to be part of the game.

Microsoft and its immersion system

In the patent documents mention is made of an immersion system, which is constituted by a multimedia device, in this Xbox 720 case, a motion sensor, a projector capable of generating 360-degree images and glasses that will help us see all this immersion in three dimensions.

The Xbox 720 will be connected to a high definition screen, this will be in charge of showing the main image of the game, this if we only want to have a minimal perception of our game, but if we want a little more action activate the projector and it will be in charge of projecting the virtual environment of the game on all four walls, regardless of the furniture or objects that we have in the room.

So now we can use the walls as a great extension of our vision, of course, for the movement already being inside the game we can make use of the movement sensor which seems to have the same characteristics as the current one Kinect, this will allow us to sense our movement to translate it into the video game character.

But as if that were not enough and we now want to be immersed in the game, a pair of glasses would help all the projected images to be seen in three dimensions, this would complete this immersion system that Microsoft patented a few months ago. The curious thing about the case is to know if everything would be considered as a single multimedia system, or they will all be accessories that we can add to our Xbox 720.

Of course, a few months ago documents were leaked mentioning augmented reality glasses, which would allow the image of the game to be viewed off-screen in order to see the characters along with the objects in our environment in order to create a more realistic experience, to which we can think that everything this immersion system that Microsoft has patented is reduced to simple glasses with a potential of this magnitude.

What is certain is that all the advances in game systems will lead us to this, regardless of whether it is through some immersion system or augmented reality glasses, the next step it is the almost physical interaction between the user, the characters and the environment of the videogame.
