A new update in the Insider Program prepares interesting news for the Xbox One
When we talk about the Insider Program for Xbox we basically refer to the same operation that we find in the rest of the Windows platform. A system to test before anyone else the improvements and novelties that Redmond is adding to their devices.
However, while accessing this program from our mobile or PC is relatively easy, doing so from Xbox One is only possible by invitation. Hence, the number of testers is significantly lower. This does not, however, prevent from periodically receiving news on the console in the form of updates in what could be called a preview... like this one at hand.
And it is that the release of a new update has been announced within the Insider Program for Xbox and users who are signed up for it. An update that will take place in a few hours and that focuses the news on Cortana and how it works, communication through messages and improvements to the on-screen keyboard.
This update corresponds to version rs1_xbox_rel_1610.161103-1900 and these are the improvements and fixes it offers:
- The first one affects the messages that are sent in the case of users with low reputation. Now instead of simply denying delivery, the system will alert the user with a message informing them of the reason why the message cannot be sent.
- Speech recognition has been optimized and improved in French, Italian, German and Spanish so that commands are now better recognized voice. It has gained in reliability and also the personal assistant improves with use, so Microsoft recommends using it to move around the interface and games.
- Fixed issue where Groove Music crashes when launched from Cortana.
- Fixed issue causing One Guide to closing if Narrator is active.
- Regarding the Virtual Keyboard, we have fixed an issue that caused the keyboard to sometimes not recognize input data.
- Within the Network Statistics options in the event of experiencing a power outage it should no longer appear blank.
If you are a user of the Xbox One Insider Program you can check if you have the update available manually by going to the path Settings > System > Console information > Updates In the case of having activated the mode Immediate Start (instead of Energy Saving Mode) this update will be downloaded automatically.
