The Xbox One receives the summer update with some preview of the Anniversary Update

Anonim

Tomorrow day two is the day marked by many to receive the most anticipated update on Windows devices, at least to a large extent thereof. Little by little, Microsoft has been giving us long teeth, but as the hours of waiting go by we cannot stop looking at the present.

And in this sense it's time to talk about the Xbox One, because the Microsoft machine has seen a new update arrive, the one that we have called summer update and in which some functions that will arrive with the Anniversary Update on August 2 are hidden.

This is the first movement of an update that is made up of two acts and that will be completed with the update that will arrive next autumn. This build has the version number: 10.0.14393.1018 (rs1 xbox rel_1608.160725-1822) and these are the new features it offers:

  • Cortana. Microsoft's assistant finally comes to Xbox One (Available only for US and UK). Now with microphone or Kinect you can start the application by saying “Hey Cortana”, you can also do it from the panel. If you have a Kinect, you can turn on the console by saying “Hey Cortana. Xbox on”.
  • Music in background Applications can now play music while the user is away from the application. This function is exclusively available for applications that specifically support this feature.Currently only Pandora supports this feature (only working for the US region), but other apps will be added soon, such as Groove. You can configure the multimedia buttons by double pressing the button Xbox > Guide Xbox > Multitasking > And select the controls.
  • My Games & Apps. The My Games & Apps area has been updated to add new sorting options, an Installation area, where you can find updates for games and apps, as well as a list of downloads.
  • Language and Location. Now Xbox One allows you to select region and language independently. To do this, you must press the Xbox button twice > Xbox Guide > All settings > System > Location and Language.
  • Top PC Games on Xbox Live Microsoft has introduced a Hub for the 1000 most popular PC games, now you can see what your friends do, even if they're not playing an Xbox Live-compatible game. You will be able to view their screenshots, clips and join group chats with them.
  • Application Store The Store is finally coming to Xbox as a stand-alone dashboard app. And now with the unified store, universal apps will start coming to Xbox One. In addition, customers in the United States, Switzerland, Norway, Italy, Germany and Finland can use carrier billing to make purchases. Users in China can use China Union Pay.
  • Find your Facebook friends. Now you can link your Xbox Live account with Facebook and find those Facebook friends who have. To do this you must go to Xbox Guide > Friends > Suggestion of friends > Search for Facebook friends.
  • Control what you share automatically. Now you can control what you want to automatically share in your Feed. To do this you must go to Xbox Guide > Preferences > Feed.

It's not available on my console yet, but what about you? Have you updated your console yet? What do you think of the new features included?
