Bit Raid

Bit Raid is a simple game with a lot of retro focus ( although not as much as the next one). In this we are a square that goes from left to right, and our objective is to take care of the bar below the missiles that are falling while it collects some squares yellows.

We must calculate well the jump of our square to see if we will be able to eat a missile on the way or not. This can be frustrating (but in a good way) as sometimes we'll be just a bit short of catching up.

The game does not go beyond that, it is simple, but very entertaining. The same is completely free and is also available for Windows 8.

Cops

Cops is another game that loves Pixel Art, because the developer has done a very good job in the graphic part. Guaranteed nostalgia.

Here we take the skin of a thief who must defeat the policemen who will block his path. Cops has very basic controls and quite hard movements, in fact, the police will not move from their place, but we must calculate the shot well to eliminate them .

In any case, it does not mean that it does not have its degree of difficulty, because sometimes jumping on some platforms and at the same time dodging a shot can be challenging.

Graphically it is the most attractive thing it has, with a highly polished and professional Pixel Art. The game also gives us the possibility of playing in colors that vary in shades from brown to white or in the colors of the NES console.

It's completely free, although unfortunately the game only has 10 levels (but the developer has said to bring more). The good thing about these 10 levels is that they are quite different from each other.

Paper Plane

In the absence of Flappy Bird, Paper Plane comes to provide that endowment of frustration that the bird game gave (and that in reality we always had in another developer's version) .In this game we must guide a paper airplane that falls from top to bottom to avoid the different walls that are in the way.

Every time we pass a wall we will be given one, two or more coins, depending on the difficulty of it. These coins can then be used to purchase other aircraft models. The first is priced at 200 coins, which isn't entirely hard to come by.

In theory the game lets us buy coins to be able to buy the others, but at least in my case it didn't show me the available purchase options.

An entertaining and simple game to kill time, it is also free ( although it has at the top).

Tigerball

And the fourth bonus game is Tigerball, and personally my favorite on this list. Here we must throw a fairly bouncy ball towards a basket that is positioned in different places on the screen.

The game, although with a simple concept, is quite addictive and challenging. Throwing the ball requires your patience and skill (and some luck), and the game rewards us for making several successful throws in one go.

When we fail, Tigerball will take a life from us, and we'll eventually lose when we're down to zero ( although there's also a flip-flop that lets us win one more try).From each level we get points that allow us to buy lives on the game path, bombs that let us pass the level, and improve chances with currency.

Tigerball is free, and has no micro-purchases even though the game is of very good quality, possibly someone's spare time project. It is available on both Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8.
