Microsoft releases "Cold Alley" for Windows 8.1
Table of contents:
In Redmond they have proposed to return to focus on the traditional PC gamer after a while dedicating efforts to casual games for Windows 8. And it is that the arrival of the new operating system was accompanied by the development of a series of games with a more casual style that currently populate the Windows Store. But Microsoft Studios wants to get back on track and nothing better than starting with a category where they have plenty of experience: flight simulators.
In this case it is an aerial combat simulator: Cold AlleyThe game features a main single player mode that revolves around the story of two secret air operations. To overcome them we will have to control a dozen planes that will take us through different eras of combat aviation."
This campaign mode is joined by others that incorporate missions of air combat, survival, team death duel, capture the flag or defend the base. In addition, the developers have left open the possibility of incorporating new game modes in future updates. In them we can vary the control from an arcade style to another closer to simulation.
"Cold Alley also comes with good graphics, or at least more elaborate than those of other games in the app stores. Planes and maps have been created in great detail and are accompanied by realistic sounds and graphic effects. The problem is to what extent it works smoothly, since more than one comment has already complained about slowdowns and difficulties in controlling the game."
The Microsoft Studios title is now available for download from the Windows Store at a price of 5.99 euros. Unfortunately there is no free trial version so we can check for ourselves first if it is worth the outlay.
