Microsoft wants to complete the purchase of Discord in April

A few days ago we saw how the news broke: Microsoft was considering buying a service like Discord, something that Bloomberg reported, an acquisition that could cause disbursement by the $10 billion Redmond-based company

Now it is the prestigious Wall Street Journal that goes a step further and affirms that the talks between both companies are very advanced , to the point that Microsoft has planned or at least, that is the intention, to complete the purchase in the month of April that we are about to launch.

An imminent purchase?

Wall Street Journal affirm that the negotiations between the two companies are very advanced and are more than just rumors or wishes. In fact, they affirm that in the coming month of April one of Microsoft's most important acquisitions could be closed.

If a few days ago, the news was the culmination of the purchase of Zenimax (owner of Bethesda among others) for 7,500 million dollars, the purchase of Discord would mean an even higher outlay. And in between, they also tried to take over TikTok motivated by the Trump administration's decision for ByteDance (and other companies) to sell their shares to US companies.
