Microsoft is one of the most valued companies among users and the first when it comes to managing our data

Americans love statistics. We only have to see how, for example, in a sporting event, they offer a much higher amount of data than what we are used to in these parts. Studies and figures that also affect what users think as is the case of this survey carried out by The Verge.

A study on the large American technology companies in which more than a thousand people have been asked about their opinions of these corporations, taking into account different aspects.In relation to image, impact on society, possibility of use, handling of personal data... and in all of them, Microsoft comes out very well

Survey was conducted in December 2019 based on 1,123 people nationwide in the United States Y In the first question, the one referring to the image of each of the companies, Microsoft appears in fifth place, between Netflix and Sonos, with 89% favorable opinions and 11% unfavorable. Amazon leads the way, with 91% and 9% respectively, while Apple is two places below Microsoft.

The second aspect studied is the impact, and Microsoft appears in third position behind Amazon and Google. According to respondents, Microsoft has a 66% positive impact, with 31% neutral impact and 3% negativity.

But where Microsoft really succeeds, is in the opinion that users have about the management of personal data. With 75%, the company is ahead of Amazon or Netflix and well above Facebook or Twitter. People trust Microsoft and how it handles the information it collects.

Another striking question is whether they would be disappointed (and how much) at the disappearanceof one of these great technological giants. And here, Microsoft is in fourth position, behind Google, Amazon and YouTube. It matters more that Microsoft disappears than Apple or Facebook for example.

In this sense, we must highlight the bad impression of those surveyed regarding the excessive power of the big technology companies that has led them to 56% believe that the government should dismantle companies when they exceed their influence on the country's economy too much or like 72% of those surveyed think that Facebook has too much power.
