The world is going crazy: Microsoft does not want applications that contain the word Windows in the Microsoft Store
The Microsoft Store is the container for applications for our devices. An attempt by those from Redmond to reflect the success obtained in the solutions of the competition, cases of the Google Play Store or the App Store. The problem is that has some deficiencies that need to be fixed by Microsoft
And that is what Microsoft seems to want to do now in a controversial and striking decision And it is that the application store of Windows lacks many of the apps that are considered to be the most relevant, and the latest decision by Redmond doesn't seem to be able to solve that lack.
We can't help but be surprised to learn that Microsoft will require developers to remove their app from the store if the word Windows appears in the appas part of the name. There is a lack of applications, some of which are well known and requested, and this decision does not seem to help in this regard.
To this end, Microsoft is communicating to developers that they must remove the word Windows from their application if they contain it or otherwise remove the application from the Microsoft Store. Is this decision logical when you are not exactly in a privileged position?
An example of this is the notices received by application developers such as WindowsArea.de and DrWindows, two classics of the Windows ecosystem that have received a notice of content infringement by those in Redmond that has led to the withdrawal of the applications.
With Windows 10 they have done very well, since they have surpassed even the great success that Windows 7 was once, but a decision how this can affect applications of the store and there aren't enough of them to afford to lose more.
It is therefore striking that with this policy, instead of increasing the number of available applications, they even end up losing some of the most significant ones. _Are you from Redmond seeing the world upside down?_
