Microsoft releases Builds 14393.1083 and 14393.1066 seeking to improve overall system performance

Leaving aside the whirlwind of information generated by the arrival of the Creators Update we continue talking about updates, that's why we're in the middle of the week. And it is that if a while ago we talked about a Build (15063.138) intended for computers and mobiles based on the spring update, now it is time to do an update with improvements for the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.

There are more exactly two Builds, one intended for the computer and tablet market (Build 14393.1083) and another one arriving for mobile installation (Build 14393.1066) Two builds that offer a lot of improvements and novelties that we are now going to see.

  • Fixed bug where the camera app could save a captured image when Show Recently Opened Items in Jump Lists was enabled.
  • Improvements have been made to the Host Network Service (HNS).
  • Fixed issue that prevented users from accessing online help content within some applications.
  • Fixed issue where displays were unexpectedly disabled.
  • Fixed an issue where CredentialGuard-enabled computers joined to Active Directory domains have two unsuccessful logon attempts each time an incorrect password is provided during a Kerberos-based logon.
  • Fixed bug that caused CPU usage to grow when IP forwarding or weak host was enabled.
  • Fixed bug that caused some of the VPN drivers to not migrate when upgrading the operating system to Windows 10.
  • Fixed crash with virtual machines causing them to crash during high I/O scenarios .
  • Fixed issue where some connections from a Remote Desktop Client to a Remote Desktop session failed after upgrading from Windows 10 in versions 1511 and 1607.
  • Fixed bug where Command Prompt was not displayed correctly.
  • Fixed problem with rendering if a web page contains a DIV element.
  • Fixed issue that causes text to disappear when resizing an Internet Explorer window when the encoding is Hebrew and any text ends with an underscore.
  • Fixed issue that was causing machines without headers to not enter S3 sleep mode.
  • Triggered a warning message in the Group Policy Management Console that notifies administrators of a design change that may prevent processing of a group of users after installing the update safety MS16-072.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Windows Explorer to perform a fast, looping update of a network drive preventing different tasks to the user.
  • Fixed a memory leak in Internet Explorer when hosting a page that contains nested framesets.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing the print spooler service to hang instead of displaying a timeout error when losing the Bluetooth connection.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented installing a new printer driver if using the v3 printer drivers.
  • Fixed various bugs with updated time zone information, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Edge.
  • Security updates have been added for the Scripting Engine, libjpeg image processing library, Hyper-V, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, and Windows OLE.
  • Windows kernel-mode drivers, Adobe Type Manager font _drivers_, graphic components, Active Directory Federation Services, and the .NET Framework have been updated.

These updates are already available by accessing the menu Settings > Updates and Security and in Windows Update by clicking check for updates.
