The Build 15058
Table of contents:
And since we're halfway through the week, we're still talking about Windows updates. If before we gave you details about a cumulative update for Windows 10 PC and Windows 10 Mobile, Build 14393.953, now it's time to talk about another Build but this time only available for fast ring userswithin the Insider Program.
This is Build 15058, which is only available for Windows 10 PC and which is strikingly important since we could be before one of the last builds (perhaps the last) before the arrival of the final version with the changes of the Creators Update.
A Build that we have known thanks to Dona Sarkar, who, as usual, has communicated her release through her Twitter account. A build with many improvements and bug fixes that we are now going to see.
Improvements found in Build 15058
- Fixed a problem that caused failures to install and start some applications.
- Fixed an issue that caused some Universal Apps to display the package name instead of yours in the title bar.
- Fixed an issue with navigation crashes in Edge when positioning to a quarter screen size.
- Fixed an issue that caused the mouse pointer to remain visible when viewing a video in Edge in full screen.
- Fixed an issue that caused the closure of the Configuration section when accessing the Wi-Fi section.
- Fixed an issue where the desktop session was terminated unexpectedly when the device went to sleep.
- Fixed a bug where renaming an encrypted PDF changed the default application to Edge.
- Improved video playback on remote devices when using Miracast.
Faults still present
- Some computers may fail when upgrading to Build 15002 or higher due to the SYSTEM_PTE_MISUSE error. "
- Some apps and games may close unexpectedly, especially for accounts that were created in Build 15031.This is due to a misconfiguration of the ID in a previous Build. The ACL key fails in the registry editor, although it is possible to delete it in the following registry key: HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AdvertisingInfo "
- There is a problem with the reboot prompt on some computers after upgrading. You need to go to Settings > Updates and security > Windows Update to check it.
- On certain hardware configurations may cause the Game Bar to flash green when _streaming_ a game. It only affects the senders and not the receiver.
- I still have problems using the F12 developer tools and browsing pages in Microsoft Edge.
- Surface Pro 3 and Surface 3 fail to update on this build if a memory card is inserted. You need to remove the SD card and put it back after installing the build.
