With the Creators Update the Builds will continue to reach Windows 10 Mobile or at least they defend it in Microsoft
One of the gaps we found in Microsoft is the one that refers to its mobile operating system. We are not going to repeat going into detail something that has already been discussed actively and passively. Windows 10 Mobile or Windows Phone in general does not finish taking off. Either due to lack of terminals, operator support, lack of applications or a bit of everything…
A set of deficiencies that, when mixed together, seriously endanger the situation of the platform and that condition its future. This year and perhaps next year may be key to knowing the future of Windows Phone: if it resurfaces or ends up dead. And this is something that Redmond wants to avoid. Or that is at least what they want to manifest outwardly.
The last to defend Windows 10 Mobile tooth and nail has been Bill Karagounis, Director of the Operating Systems Program. In a recent presentation he had a turn for questions and answers from those present and of course, could not miss the reference to Windows 10 Mobile and if Microsoft was going to continue betting on its mobile platform.
"The answer? The one expected by all, with no more chicha to get. And it is that from the American company they continue to affirm that they have a high commitment to continue betting on Windows 10 Mobile as part of the solid future of its ecosystem. "
This answer also follows the line of the one given by Dona Sarkar a few days ago in which she also defended that they were going to continue betting on Windows 10 Mobile , offering constant updates in which quality and user satisfaction prevail.
The other reality does not say the same
This support contrasts with the current reality and it is enough to remember that according to the figures provided by IDC, Windows phones represented only 0.4% of the _smartphones_ market worldwide in 2016. 0.4% is an almost anecdotal figure that translates into the consequent losses. Thus, Microsoft's latest financial report indicated that revenues in the telephone division fell 200 million in the last quarter.
We have already seen in the different months how the figures in terms of sales continue and continue to drop. And only a radical change in the current situation can change this trend. A new device completely different from what we have seen so far may be the solution. Or perhaps the arrival of x86 applications on ARM processors and the world of possibilities they can offer.
The truth is that Microsoft's situation with Windows 10 Mobile is curious On the one hand they defend that they are to death with the system as a father can do with his children, while reality strives to contradict them continuously. And at this point all that remains is to draw our own conclusions.
In your case _who do you believe? Do you believe what Microsoft says or are you one of those who think that the figures offer an irrefutable truth about the future of Windows 10 Mobile?_
