Microsoft Releases Build 14915 in Fast Ring for Windows 10 on PC and Mobile
or a week could go by without us seeing the arrival on our devices of a new build And the thing is that the guys from Redmond don't stop and it seems that they turn a deaf ear to the figures and criticism that the Windows Phone segment has in terms of distribution and presence in the markets. Windows 10 desktop version dominates the market.
So in order not to lose good manners this week we have with us a new Build, in this case the Build 14915 available for Insider program users within the fast ring.An update that is available for both Windows 10 for PC and phones
And as on almost all occasions, once again it is Dona Sarkar, Gabe Aul's replacement, who is in charge of announcing it through the Twitter account so that all that remains is to know the list ofimprovements and corrections that we are going to find.
PC improvements and fixes
- Fixed an issue that made the power button in the Start menu unusable
- Cortana can now read text messages aloud again, sing, give directions, and more
- Fixed a crash in the Settings app that caused it to crash due to a missing .dll file
- Improvements in translations
- You have made changes and now the tone settings should work again
- Fixed a compatibility issue that caused some applications to quit unexpectedly.
- Fixed delay in email notifications
- new aspect of the side menu ?Connect? which now spans the entire width of the menu
- Fixed an issue related to Chinese language
- Fixed an issue with importing bookmarks in Microsoft Explorer
Improvements and fixes for mobile phones:
- Fixed a bug that caused apps to hang if moved between an SD card and internal storage
- Cortana is now able to read text messages aloud again
- You have made changes and now the tone settings should work again
- Fixed a compatibility problem, in the previous Build some applications were closing unexpectedly. This has already been fixed
- Improved translations
- Fixed an issue in Microsoft Edge advanced settings
- Sounds settings have been updated and now .mp3 and .wma files downloaded from OneDrive will automatically show up in the list of available sounds for ringtones, alarms, and notifications
Problems that persist on PC
- Adobe Acrobat Reader keeps crashing when opened
- Follow the black screen when switching from one user account to another. Need to restart PC
- Ubuntu Bash may not work after upgrading to this version.
- Settings app may crash when we enter Settings ?> Personalization
