With improvements in hardware and performance in mobile phones, we are seeing more and more complex games. In the Windows Phone Store you can even find a version of Final Fantasy, something we wouldn't expect to see on a phone. However, for me, the best mobile games are still arcade-style: easy to play and endless. That is why we are going to make a small compilation of the five best games of this style for Windows Phone.

Chromatic, withstand as many waves as you can

"Although it hasn&39;t been updated for a while, Chromatic is one of the best games I&39;ve found out there. The idea is very basic: you have to withstand as many waves as you can. You have a fixed turret, with a maximum of three weapons and two perks you can equip, and you have to kill all the figures before they reach the bottom of the screen."

Despite how simple it is, it's quite addictive, especially when you can experiment with different weapon combinations to get a higher score.

As if that weren't enough, it also has an online game mode, in which several players compete to get the highest score in one minute with the same weapons and advantages. Chromatic has two versions, one free with ads and the other paid for 1 euro and without ads.

Another very interesting game is Super Voltage 2 . As before, you have to prevent enemies from reaching the bottom of the screen, but the method of eliminating them is quite different.

The screen is a grid of pipes: by clicking on one you rotate it to connect it with the ones around it. When you connect the two sides of the screen with pipes, the pipes will light up and be removed. If there is also a monster on top, it will also disappear.

In addition to connecting pipes, you can also buy items in the shop to kill bugs. The game has no levels or end: more monsters just keep coming every time.

Super Voltage 2 is free and ad-free, and is available for both Windows Phone 7 and Windows Phone 8.
