Microsoft and NASCAR team up to launch a new “race management” app

Indeed, NASCAR (National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing) and Microsoft have just announced the launch of a new management application of the career. A tool that the automobile company released this Friday and a statement that took place at the Sonoma circuit, located 160 kilometers from Silicon Valley.

Specifically, the application is capable of offering multiple car data in real time to its brands –and also to its staunch followers-; Some data structured in up to six different categories and that will include historical information and other practical issues such as time, scoring, arbitration, the real-time position of the car, the possibility of repeating certain moments, and the like.

“NASCAR has often paid attention to how technology can bring things to fans faster, especially the feeling of being inside the car . However, it is also essential to work on how we can work with it to be more efficient from a rules point of view”, commented O'Donnell.

Another obvious benefit of the app is that it allows race directors to relay messages to more informed teams and improve their strategy , since the service analyzes all this information in a much faster way than other current services.

On the other hand, the Microsoft Race Management App has been developed for Windows 10 and it is a first version whose objective is to continue improving and including new features. “As we move forward, we want to help NASCAR make better use of the information that we're helping it collect. So this is just the first part of a multi-stage approach,” Downey concluded.
