Microsoft releases the first Patch Tuesday of 2022 for Windows 10 in almost all versions: these are the news

We are in the middle of the week and beginning of the month and this inevitably leads us to talk about a new cumulative update for Windows. It's Patch Tuesday, this time in January. An update that arrives for different versions of Windows 10 and that arrives associated with patch KB5009543.
It can be downloaded by all those who have any of the compatible versions of Windows 10, specifically for Windows 10 May 2020 Update (2004), Windows 10 October 2020 Update (20H2 ), Windows 10 May 2021 Update (21H1) and Windows 10 November 2021 Update (21H2)These computers will be able to download a series of builds with the following improvements and fixes.
For almost all versions of Windows 10
The cumulative update with patch KB5009543 is available for Windows 10 version 2004 version 20H2, Windows 10 version 21H1, and Windows 10 version 21H2 via the builds 19042.1466, 19043.1466, and 19044.1466 respectively.This security update includes quality improvements. Key changes include:
- Addresses an issue that prevents Active Directory (AD) attributes from being written correctly during a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) modify operation when multiple changes are made to the attributes.
- Fixes a known issue affecting Japanese Input Method Editors (IMEs).When you use a Japanese IME to enter text, the text may appear jumbled or the text cursor may move unexpectedly in applications that use the Multibyte Character Set (MBCS) . This issue affects the Microsoft Japanese IME and third-party Japanese IMEs.
In addition a series of errors and failures continue to occur, some also present in previous compilations, for which the support website offers different solutions.
- Devices with Windows installations created from custom offline media or a custom ISO image may have Microsoft Edge Legacy removed with this update, but not automatically replaced by the new Microsoft Edge. This issue is only encountered when creating custom offline media or ISO images incorporating this update into the image without first installing the Standalone Servicing Stack Update (SSU) released on or after March 29, 2021.
- After you install the June 21, 2021 update (KB5003690), some devices cannot install new updates, such as the July 6, 2021 update (KB5004945) or later updates.
- "After you install this update, when you connect to devices in an untrusted domain using Remote Desktop, connections might not be authenticated when using smart card authentication. You may get the message Your credentials did not work. The credentials used to connect to did not work. Enter new credentials. y The login attempt failed in red."
