This is how you can correct Windows 11 performance problems on computers with AMD Ryzen processors

A few days ago we made reference to the problems that computers with AMD Ryzen processors were experiencing when installing Windows 11. Drops in performance whose solution they were working onafter announcing AMD and Microsoft the release of two corrective patches. Two updates you can apply now.

The first of these arrived on Thursday in the form of build 10.0.0.22483 for Windows 11 which was available for download from the Insider Program and now it's AMD releasing the patch 3.10.08.506 that we will have to download manually from the manufacturer's website as it does not appear in the optional updates of Windows 11.

As for Microsoft, Thursday's patch is not the last, as hours later they released Build 10.0.0.22483.1011 associated with patch KB5007484. After installing Windows 11 updates, tap Install AMD Fix Tool

To do this we have to access the AMD support page and download the corresponding patch or, if we prefer, the AMD tool to detect our computer's hardware and download the corresponding patchA process that will require restarting the computer at the end.

We must remember that we are talking about performance failures that affect the latency of the L3 cache, which can be tripled, which could cause 3-5% slower performance in most affected applications. In the case of some games, the reduction could be between 10% and 15%.

With the update of the drivers for AMD Ryzen processors, thanks to the corrective patch 3.10.08.506 and the previous one released by Microsoft, the performance problems in the CPUs Ryzen should have been fixed.
