Microsoft releases the first build for Windows 10 21H2: These are the changes that will arrive with the fall update
Table of contents:
We have been used to Microsoft's two annual updates for Windows 10 for some time now. Of the two, spring and fall, it is usually the first that is the most attractive ( although not always), the one that more news has. A second one that continues to provide improvements, changes that can already be tested as Microsoft has announced the availability of Windows 10 21H2
And although we all fill our mouths talking about Windows 11, the truth is that not many will be able to taste it.Many computers will continue to use Windows 10 and that is why its updates will still be of great importance, at least until October 2025 when it will no longer be supported.
Preparing the ground for 21H2
Microsoft has announced the availability of version 21H2 of Windows 10. An update whose name is not yet known but which Seeing the trend in recent years, it could well be called Windows 10 October 2021 Update or Windows 10 November 2021 Update.
Windows 10 21H2 is now available to Insider Program Preview Channel members via build 19044.1147 that arrives with patch KB5004296 , the same as Windows 10 May 2021 Update and October 2021 Update. A new version of Windows 10 that comes with various improvements.
This update does not yet include the notable features featured on John Cable's blog for Windows 10 in version 21H2, but They will be included in a future update. A Build that does include almost all the improvements we saw in build 19043.147 for Windows 10.
A branch, 21H2, which among other improvements will enable compatibility with WPA3 H2E standards to improve wireless connection security (Wifi). It will also offer support for simplified passwordless deployment in Windows Hello, although it will only be available for enterprises.
For consumers and developers, Microsoft will enable GPU rendering in WSL so users can take advantage of their GPU when working with WSL and thus improve the performance of WSL containers and make it easier for developers.
In addition, with support for GUI applications to WSL, users will be able to run Linux and Windows applications simultaneously, achieving seamless Experience similar to a native app.
We&39;ll have to wait for the next build to start receiving some of these new features. If you are part of the Insider Program and the Preview Channel, you can enter Windows Update, in the path Settings > Update and security > Windows Update and choose download and install 21H2."
