Windows 10 already smells like Sun Valley: a new design arrives for the Task Manager and for the .msi files
Table of contents:
Microsoft continues to release small brushstrokes of what we can expect when Windows 10 Sun Valley arrives, the update that should be released at the end of the year. And now we can see a new aesthetic change in one of the tools included in Windows such as the Task Manager"
The American company continues working on improving the interface and unifying the aspect of its operating system, one of its pending issues. And if we have already seen how some icons of basic tools have changed or how the Start menu has been retouched, now it is the turn of the Task Manager.
A more careful aesthetic
"The Task Manager>obtain information about the programs and processes running on the computer, in addition to providing the most used performance indicators on the computer. "
With the new design, it still has a graph-shaped icon, but it is now tinted with softer pastel tones , following the main lines imposed by Fluent Design compared to the marked icons of previous generations.
Now, all those who are part of the Windows Insider Program and who have access to the Developer Channel can check how the Task Manager> and adapts to the aesthetic that they show off the new icons with Fluent Design air."
This is the first change of others that will arrive in the next weeks or days, as a change in the Task Scheduler is also expected and new icons for the .msi configuration files for applications.
A new aesthetic that follows the one already seen in icons such as Photos, Maps and Microsoft 365 applications and that, as can be seen in the image above, offers two types clearly differentiated design patterns.
All these changes are part of a process that tries to bring Windows 10, Sun Valley through, a new look that makes us forget the reminiscences that still remainand that remind us of Windows 95, the old operating system whose aesthetics still endure if we dive a little into the guts of Windows 10.
