Microsoft decides to retire the old icons that still remained from Windows 95: these are the new ones that will arrive with Sun Valley

We are about to see a new update to Windows 10 arrive (May is the chosen month) and all our eyes are on Sun Valley, the update that should arrive in the fall. An update that among its changes will come with the disappearance of vestiges that remain of Windows 95 in the form of icons.
Despite the passing of the years, Microsoft's operating system has not been consistent in its aesthetic changes and thus we find a mixture of new trends with icons that still endures from earlier versions of WindowsThis is the case with Windows system icons, many of which will change with Sun Valley.
A new design

A folder that currently houses up to 334 icons and many of them are well on their way to 26 years since they arrived with Windows 95 Icons that have been revamped in recent Dev Channel builds portending changes to Sun Valley back in Fall 2021.
And they have made the comparison in Windows Latest, where they have compared Shell32.dll icons present in Windows 10 20H2 with which the latest build of Windows 10 on Insider Program Dev channel

Compared to the old icons, vestiges of Windows 10, the new icons that will arrive with Windows 10 Sun Valley are much more attractive, resulting in a more modern look with more colors and a more current design. There are still remains of old icons, it is true, but it is to be expected that these will be progressively replaced
And Microsoft is carrying out important work with the replacement of the icon system in its operating system. Some of these icons arrived at the beginning of the year and little by little we are learning about the design changes that will arrive with Sun Valley, such as rounded corners, renewed virtual desktops or improvements in the Start Menu."
