This is how the new Windows 10 Start menu looks like and so
Table of contents:
A few days ago Microsoft announced Build 20161 and among its innovations, the presence of the renewed Start Menu stood out. With a new design, icons, and better integration within the overall look and feel of Windows 10, this new design was not available to all users who installed the Build.
And we're talking in the past tense, since accessing the new design is indeed possible. No waiting and without having to wait for Microsoft to decide who can and who can't, to try the new interface you just have to download a small app and follow the steps now we detail.
New look, better integration
WindowsUnited reports this system, which allows access to the new interface to all those who already have Build 20161 installed. You have to follow some steps, nothing complicated, that we now detail.
If we already have Build 20161 installed that we can download from the Dev Channel within the Insider Program, we only have to download the ViveTool tool from this Github repository.
Once downloaded, the next step is access the command line by typing CMD in the search box with administrator permissions and enter the path where we have extracted the tool. For example, in my case when placing the app in C" the path is C:\ > cd ViveTool-v0.2.0
Once inside the mentioned path, we must write this command: ViVeTool.exe addconfig 23615618 2 and when we press enter we will see how it appears a message that tells us that the changes have been made correctly. At that point we only have to restart the PC. Below these lines appears the current interface and the new one that comes with Build 20161.
With these steps we must have access to the new Windows 10 start menu that comes with Build 20161 and without having to wait for it to Microsoft distributes it among the stable version.
