Microsoft prepares cosmetic improvements with the Spring 2021 update: some

Microsoft already works with the channels format instead of rings when sending the different compilations within the Windows Insider Program and in this sense already sent the last compilation belonging to the 21H1 branch of Windows 10, now in the Dev Channel instead of using the Fast Ring.

A compilation, Build 20150, that hides some of the improvements that we will see coming in the following versions of Windows 10. More or less relevant aesthetic changes that affect the interface of different sections of the operating system that we will now review.

A more complete and current interface

Among other modifications there is a change in the design of the volume controls, some buttons to control the reproduction of content that pass to adopt Fluent Design and that improve its functions, by allowing the user to change tracks as well as pause and resume the content that plays in the form of an audio track.

In this sense, the information shown on the screen is expanded and now the corresponding cover to the album of the track that is playing also appears, regardless of whether the medium used is the browser, Groove Music or a streaming audio application such as Spotify.

There are also improvements to the Action Center, which happens to be very similar to what we expect to arrive with Windows 10X.The Action Center that provides access to notifications and quick actions will now allow notifications to be grouped and sorted by apps, making it easier to see which app they belong to. In addition, when opening the Activity Center we will have access to the notifications that we have not read.

The last of the detected changes affects the search box, which becomes occupying a smaller size on the taskbar. Something that can be seen in this capture that Zac Bowden offers on his Twitter account.

These are the previous modifications, which can already be tested within the Insider Program, in this case before the definitive release of a version of Windows 10 which is not expected until spring 2021.Before, down the road, we'll see the fall update, Windows 20H2, but that's another story.
