Microsoft releases Build 19635: Windows 10 prepares for the arrival of the fall update

Windows 10 May 2020 Update is a reality despite the fact that in a deployment that is being staggered, there are still a majority of users who have not been able to install it on their computers, at least following the pace set by Windows Update and not choosing to skip steps by forcing the update.

"The Windows 10 May 2020 Update, formerly known as the 20H1 branch or also codenamed Vibranium, is now real and Microsoft has been working on the next Windows 10 update for months. 20H2 branch is codenamed Manganese and expected to be released in Fall 2020, it already has a new build.This is Build 19635."

Fixes and improvements

Available in the Fast Ring of the Windows Insider Program, this compilation begins to show some of the news that the rest of Windows users will see in the months of October or November, when the update is released for all. Following the steps that we already know, which involves going to the Windows Update section as if it were a conventional update, all those Fast Ring insiders can download Build 19635, a compilation that provides the following improvements.

• Fixed a bug present in other builds that caused apostrophes to not show up in locate dialogs, mount files, and file explorer folder options.
• Fixed an issue that caused the Allow option in Windows Search to appear as disabled in the options for a school or work account.

• Fixes a bug with data functioning on some devices.
• Fixed a crash that occurred when changing the screen orientation.
• Messages related to the cessation of operation of the Program Compatibility Assistant service are eliminated.
• Screen flickering problem is corrected.
• Fixed a bug that caused the camera on some devices to show objects in the image.

Known Issues

• Investigating an issue where some devices that boot from eMMC storage may give errors when resuming from hibernation.
• Investigating a bug where the update process hangs for long periods of time when trying to install a new build.
