A few days ago we lived through a historic moment. Microsoft said goodbye to one of its most outstanding operating systems with the loss of support for Windows 7. At the same time, the end of support for Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 10 Mobile, but nobody remembers this one.

We have already explained why it is not interesting to maintain an outdated equipment. Lack of support to cover important problems, so that our team is compatible with new devices that hit the market, but also due to the lack of solutions to minor problems. And the latter is what some users are apparently suffering from when they see how the wallpaper of their PC with Windows 7 changes

A black wallpaper

Users detailing their problem on Reddit and the Microsoft forums. Windows 7 with patch KB4534310 has a bug that causes the wallpaper you have on your PC to be replaced with a black screen It is not a mode dark, no, it's a total black color

In fact, some users have reconfigured their usual wallpaper and they claim that the error is repeated when starting the PC again or restarting it- This does not fix it and reappears the desktop background reverts to a solid black color. They claim that the failure occurs when the Microsoft activation server thinks that the PC in question uses an illegal product key.

Those affected by this bug state that they have fixed it by uninstalling the update with patch KB4534310, an update that at seems to have caused headaches and problems during installation. The other step to correct the error is to install the security-only update with patch number KB4534314. This way the problem disappears.

Microsoft has not yet acknowledged on the support page for this update that there are any issues with the update. The problem is that as of January 14 Microsoft is not forced to release any update that corrects bugs that may appear.
