Microsoft releases a new build in the Fast Ring: Build 19008 arrives to fix reboot and shutdown issues

A few days ago we saw how Microsoft released Build 19002.1002 with the sole purpose of correcting the problems that were occurring on certain computers when it was time to turn them off or restart them and they would become blocked, something that had raised complaints from users.

A problem that was present since Build 18999 and was still present in Build 19002. Build 19002.1002 was generic, for all users and now Microsoft releases Build 19008 for Insiders within the Fast Ring, a build intended to fix bugs present in the development of the 20H1 branch.

The announcement of the availability of the new Build has been made on the Twitter account of the Windows Insider Program.

Error correction

• And among the bugs stands out the one that this Build solves the problems present with shutdown and restart that had manifested itself in Builds 18999 and 19002 and was fixed in build 19002.1002.
• Fixes an issue where even though optional updates had been installed, Insiders would still see an alert message on Windows Update, even though everything is up to date.
• Fixed an issue that sometimes prevented resetting settings after minimizing the window.
• Improved launch speed of taskbar jump lists.

Known Issues

• Some Insiders are still reporting that after successfully updating to a new build, Windows Update settings page may show the same installation needsto be installed. You can verify that the build installed successfully by checking the build number in the corner of the screen or by going to Win + R, typing winver, and confirming the build number. We are investigating this issue.
