Problems with Windows Defender
This is at least what can be seen when checking how this month's Windows 10 cumulative update is causing problems for Windows Defender, the built-in protection system that Windows computers carry. A bug that users complain about on Reddit and on the Microsoft Forums.
Affected people claim that after installing the latest update, manual scan stops working, and full system scans don't correctly, as they last only a few seconds after which they end abruptly.
In fact, at Microsoft are already aware of the issue, telling ZDNet that yes, it does affect manual scanning that the user takes place in Windows Defender. From the full scan, however, they say nothing.
It seems that Microsoft is already working on a solution that should arrive as a patch in a few days or even hours. For now, on the support page, there is no mention of this bug.
If you are one of those who have installed cumulative update 18362.356 and you are experiencing too many problems with Windows Defender you can always choose to make use of custom scanningto scan the hard drive by drives.
This is the conservative choice before opting to uninstall the Build. If you choose this option, it is necessary to go to the route Settings, Update and security and within it click on View history of updates. The next step is to use the option Uninstall updates>Uninstall"
