Table of contents:
A few days ago we saw some users were complaining about the resulting orange color in the screenshots they took on their computers. It didn't matter which method was used, because once the capture was made, it presented that unusual appearance.
The affected computers had in common the use of Windows 10 May 2019 Update in its last update, which corresponded to Build 18362.329. And in the absence of a response from Microsoft, Lenovo has been the firm that has provided a solution to the users of their computers.
Removing the orange color
It's taken almost a week, but Lenovo-branded device owners finally have a solution to prevent the orange color in screenshots taken with the tools Snipping Tool or Snip & Sketch.
"This fault appears to be caused by the Eye Care Mode feature present in the Lenovo Vantage application. The latter is a preloaded function in Lenovo computers whose objective is to facilitate the update of the different drivers of the machine."
Lenovo advises that there are two different versions of Lenovo Vantage and depending on which one is being used, you must take a few steps or others.
"If you are using version 4 of Lenovo Vantage, the steps to fix the problem and disable Eye Care mode go to path Hardware Configuration > Audio / Visual and deactivate Eye Care ModeThen you have to click on the Reset button."
If, on the other hand, you are using version 10 of Lenovo Vantage, the steps to solve the problem go to the path My device settings > Screen and camera and click the Reset button."
"In addition, in section “Colour temperature during the day”, you must deactivate the mode Eye Care and also uncheck the box “Eye care Mode from sunset to sunrise”. "
If you have a Lenovo computer with Windows 10 May 2019 Update and you were affected by this bug, you can try these steps to see if they are really effective .
