Known Issues
- There is still a problem with older versions of anti-cheat software used with games and after updating to the latest builds from 19H1 Insider Preview can cause PCs to experience crashes. They are working with partners to update their software with a fix, and most games have released patches to prevent PCs from experiencing this issue. To minimize the chance of running into this issue, make sure you're running the latest version of your games before attempting to update your operating system. They are also working with game developers and anti-cheats to resolve similar issues that may arise with 20H1 Insider Preview builds and are working to minimize the likelihood of these issues in the future.
- Certain 2D applications (such as Feedback Hub, Microsoft Store, 3D Viewer) are incorrectly treated as protected content within Windows Mixed Reality. During video capture, these 2D applications block the recording of their content.
- When capturing playback video while an error is being presented via the Feedback Hub in Windows Mixed Reality, you will not be able to select Stop Video, due to the previously mentioned protected content issue. If you want to send a playback video, you will need to wait 5 minutes for the recording time to run out. If you want to archive the bug without a replay video, you can close the Feedback Hub window to end the recording and resume archiving when you reopen the app in Feedback> Drafts. "
- When using the search bar in Control Panel>"
- Devices configured for dual scan (WSUS and Windows Update) for updates may not have new versions in the fast ring. When you select Check for updates online from Microsoft Update, it will check for updates, but you may get the message “Your device is up to date”.They are working on a solution for a future flight.
- Some devices set to use HDR may experience a bluish tint to their HDR displays after using Night Light. We have identified the cause and are working on a fix for an upcoming build.
- Theme packs downloaded from the Microsoft Store are not applied.
- Starting with the previous build, some Insiders may find that Settings does not launch from the Start button, does not appear in the All apps list or as a search result. If you are affected, pressing WIN + R and entering “ms-settings:” (without the quotes) will launch Settings if you need it.
- After successfully updating to a new build, the Windows Update settings page may show the same build needs to be installed. You can verify that the build installed successfully by checking the build number in the corner of the screen or by going to Win + R, typing winver, and confirming the build number. They have identified the cause of this issue and are working on a solution for a future flight.
