Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 receive new cumulative updates in preview before they reach all users

Windows 7 is going to reach the end of support in 2020 and then it will be the turn of Windows 8.1 There are no reasons for Microsoft to leave the current grandparents aside of your operating system, at least those that are still valid (we don't talk about Windows XP or Windows Vista).
For all of you who still have a copy of Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, Microsoft has released new cumulative updates. Compilations intended primarily for IT (Information Technology) administrators.These are improvements that will reach all users on Patch Tuesday.
With these two compilations above all we will see corrections related to improving performance, without finding news related to system security. Specifically, these improvements come to Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 with the KB4499178 patch. In the case of Windows 8.1, the improvements also reach Windows Server 2012 with patch KB4499182.
Enhancements for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008

- Updated time zone information for the Palestinian Authority.
- Improved performance with string comparison functions such as _stricmp() in the Universal C Runtime.
- Fixed an issue that could cause event 7600 in the Domain Name System (DNS) server event log to contain an unreadable server name.
- "Fixed an issue where applications built with the Universal CRT (UCRT) receive the missing export message __C specific handler_noexcept."
- "This build fixes a rare issue that prevents fmod() from returning -0 if necessary."
