Controlling the data consumption that we do from the PC on vacation is possible if we follow these steps
Table of contents:
With the arrival of summer, the computer or tablet may be the ideal complement in leisure time. Maybe even for work, you have to stay connected, something that is not very important if you are at home but that acquires another aspect if you are traveling or on vacation and you pull data
"Having a permanent Internet connection in cases in which we do not have the advantage of having the ADSL or Fiber flat rate that we have at home requires pulling 3G or 4G and depending on the glutton Whatever our use, this can cause some unpleasantness, even if we have many gigabytes in the rate.To avoid unnecessary scares we have prepared this tutorial"
Steps to follow
If we use the coverage of our data rate, either directly or using Tethering, a great idea control the consumption we are makingto avoid, if necessary, that the data can fly. And it is something that we can do if we use a computer with Windows 10 just by following these steps.
By means of Windows 10 we can control the consumption on our line, an alternative to the smartphone's data counter or the application on duty from our operator. The objective is to record how much of our rate we have spent.
To do this, the first step is to go to the familiar Settings menu (you know, the cogwheel at the bottom left). We will see a window with different options among which we look for the one corresponding to the section Network and Internet."
"Once we have entered Network and Internet we move in the left column until we find the option Data usage on which we click ."
We wait a few seconds and then we will see the data consumption, either by Wi-Fi or Ethernet for the last 30 days But We are going to go a little further and determine which is the application that is generating the most consumption. We can also select the connection used by our equipment for this purpose.
"There appears a gray box with the title Details of use. Click on it and see how a new window opens where we see the detailed use of what each application has consumed."
We can also set a consumption limit to avoid shocks and even reset the data used to start the counter from scratch.
The only limitation we will find will be temporary and that is that the report is limited to the consumption we have made in the last 30 days. However, it is a sufficiently large period of time to be able to control the data we consume in our free time.
