This is how I updated a PC with Windows 7 to Windows 10 May 2019 Update officially in June 2019

In my case I accessed the link of the Windows 10 Update Assistant, which is still operative and through which we will access the servers of the American company to download the version of Windows 10 corresponding to our equipment and thus be able to install it. It is a small file, with the extension .exe that is downloaded to the PC and is official from Microsoft, so it is a totally safe way to update."

Once downloaded, run it and the application starts a series of tasks that are firstly intended to check if the computer has all the necessary requirementsto run the latest version of Microsoft's operating system. From then on it was basically just following all the steps on the screen.
